LENT 2021

Throughout Lent, we will be working on making a Lenten Banner.
Everyone is asked to paint a black cross on the burlap banner located near the coffee bar in the Gathering Place.
Please do this as a family activity event before or after worship services following social distancing.
Children should be supervised by their parents.
Each one is different and he’s given these to us to share!
For our Lenten Challenge this year, we are asking you to take a cross to GIVE AWAY to someone who might need encouragement in their faith walk, or just needs to hear about Jesus.
Use it as a tool to talk to them about what our Lord and Savior has done for us.
Ask God to show you who you should give a cross to, and that He would give you the words to use.

Pastor Keith Kohlmeier will be leading Bible studies on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:05 at the church beginning February 24 to go along with our Lenten Theme, “Return to the Lord your God.” These studies will serve as a “Preface for our Lenten Journey” as we focus on God’s historic call to His people to repent and the things that might get in the way of us returning to God. Even if our desire is to return to God, there are many stumbling blocks, not the least of which is ourselves. That is the subject of our Lenten theme this year as we dive into God’s Holy Word and consider carefully the distinct difficulty experienced by the people we encounter in each biblical narrative. We will also explore in each study how that particular difficulty might be keeping us from returning to God or, equally important, how God may be using that very difficulty to draw us to Him. Whatever the case may be, it is always God’s desire to be our God and for us to be His people (Jeremiah 31:33).
To help with preparation for this Bible Study Series, please respond to the email that was sent out or contact the church office. You will then be emailed a copy of the study each week before Wednesday.
