Give
Children’s Ministries
Members can help with the nursery, act as Sunday School teachers, Children’s Church Leaders and other youth activities! All those who work with youth under 18 must complete our Child Protection Training.
Replace tape
on floors
Remove existing tape and apply new burgundy gaff tape (similar to duct tape) in Room 110 and/or Sr. Youth Room.
Spot cleaning carpets
Cleaning small areas of carpet using either the handheld carpet shampooer or a rag and carpet cleaning spray.
Love in Action
Risen Savior works in cooperation of Love in Action, a network of churches that links church ministries and volunteers to people in need, a cooperative effort between churches and community agencies to provide effective help for the disadvantaged.
“Feeding Your Faith” – Meal & Bible Study at the Crossover Recovery Center
Risen Savior provides a meal and recovery-focused Bible study to men and women working on their recovery from drug & alcohol addictions every Thursday of the month at Noon at CrossOver Recovery Center.
Repair Gym moveable wall
Glue wall paper type covering back onto wall panels.
Washing windows
Cleaning either interior or exterior windows using a squeegee or paper towels.
Lutheran Hour Radio
Our Adult Sunday School donations go towards sponsoring Lutheran Hour Radio broadcasts heard around the world. You can listen locally on KAWZ (88.7FM) at 9:00 am or KFTI (1070AM) at 8:30 am on Sunday mornings.
Tech Team
Running the sound board, projection computer, and operating the cameras and video switch to live-stream our worship services. No experience necessary, we’ll train you!
Replace ceiling tiles
Replace damaged ceiling tiles with new ones. Many tiles need cut to fit. (Sheetrock square and razor knife available)
Picking up trash
Pick up trash around the property. Most common area where trash collects is along the creek/drainage ditch.
Note: this can be done by anyone at any time. Sign-up only necessary if you need trash bags, buckets, etc. from the church.
Faith Comes by Hearing
Once a year we collect donations for Military BibleSticks which reach service men and women, who are deployed in some of the most dangerous areas of the world, with God’s Word in audio – it can go with them and sustain them in even the most difficult circumstances.
Gammon Elementary School
We have a “GO” Team (Gammon Outreach) whose passion is to support our community school – Gammon Elementary through teacher, student and facility support!
Asset Tagging
Applying bar code stickers to all the different items that Risen Savior owns and writing down what was tagged.

Washing/Drying rags
Take home dirty rags/towels, wash/dry/fold them, then return them to church.
Lenten & Advent Offerings
Offerings collected during these services are sent to agencies outside of Risen Savior such as: POBLO, Apple of His Eye, Lutherans for Life, Lutheran World Relief, Fairmount Ministries
Wichita Children’s Home
We partner with the Wichita Children’s Home to meet the needs of and support the young adults at the Bridges Group at Wichita Children’s Home.
Orphan Grain Train
Currently we have a group of women who sew quilt squares to make quilt tops. In the past, we have also collected items to make hygiene kits.
Visit Local
Care Centers
Several times a year our youth go to local senior care homes to sing and spend time with the residents!
Music Ministries
We have many ways to serve through music! Members can audition for our Praise Team or participate in Praise Choir & Bell Choir. We have Children’s & Preschool Choirs too!
